Welcome to eBiz, India’s G2B Portal. This website is managed by Infosys Technologies Ltd. (Infosys) on behalf of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and these terms and conditions refer to the interactions of this site with business users (potential entrepreneurs and business entities) and government departments.

By entering or using this site, you accept the following terms and conditions.

1. Modifications and Additions

This section is subject to changes at any point in time either by Infosys or DIPP. The changes will be posted in this section and shall be effective immediately. It is recommended for the users to visit this section and keep themselves updated with respect to terms and conditions of usage.

2. About eBiz

Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Government of India has envisioned eBiz Project to create a one-stop-shop of convenient and efficient online G2B services to the business community. This objective will be attained by reducing the complexity in obtaining information and services related to starting businesses in India, and in dealing with licenses and permits across the business life-cycle.

The content of this website, including information, tools and links, is intended to be helpful to the widest range of businesses.

The purpose of this website is to enable efficient G2B interactions for existing business entities and those intending to start a business by providing access to information and services.

3. eBiz Website Content

Infosys will ensure that content on this site is accurate and current on a best effort basis. Infosys shall address any errors or omissions on a priority basis as soon as they are notified by either the business users or government departments. However,

Infosys cannot ensure that the content is always accurate and current and is applicable to specific circumstances or business situations

Infosys advises that content of this site is not intended to be used as a substitute for expert advice or government protocols

Infosys recommends that the users should seek appropriate expert advice relevant to specific circumstances or business situations

4. Acceptable Use

Infosys reserves the right to deny a particular user from availing the services and/or delete the user account in case of abuse which could include, but is not limited to, hacking, submission of obscenities, fraud or propagation of computer viruses. Infosys may also make changes to any service without prior notice and this may also include removal of service from the website.

eBiz website must be used for lawful purposes only. This website should not be used for any of the following activities –

  1. To communicate, publish or propagate any material which is offensive, abusive, defamatory, indecent, obscene, threatening or illegal or in breach of copyright, trade mark, confidence, privacy or any other rights
  2. To communicate, publish or propagate chain mails, spam letters or junk e-mail and/or participate in mischievous or malicious behavior which causes or may cause damage, annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to this website or any other party

There should not be any attempt to bypass security measures of the website for the purpose of modifying the site content or accessing other user information. This shall be treated as an unlawful act. 

5. Access to external websites and third party content

Infosys shall not be responsible for the content of access of any linked website external to eBiz and shall not take any responsibility for the consequences of using the information thereof. Infosys does not guarantee that these external websites shall be up and running at all times and access to these websites will work always.

eBiz does not recommend or endorse any particular commercial product or business. Links to third-party websites (Government or Non-Government) are provided as they add information.

6. Online transactions and payments

Online transactions are carried out in a secure mode. Payments are accepted through the eBiz payment gateway which is enabled by a third party. The terms and conditions of the payment gateway are different from those of eBiz and it is advised that the users read them carefully.

7. Security

Infosys does not take any responsibility of data transmission over the internet and does not guarantee that it will be totally secure. Infosys will strive to protect such information but does not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information transmitted to us from the users. Such transmission of information is at the user’s risk. Infosys will not be liable for any damages or loss arising out of or resulting from any unauthorised access to eBiz and /or alteration or modification of the information contained on eBiz website.

Infosys will strive to deploy the best anti-virus procedures and checks on eBiz website but is not responsible for exposure of the users to viruses while trying to access eBiz website. Infosys is not liable for any malicious code or hacking attempts made on the user machine and recommends deployment of antivirus software and regular scanning of documents downloaded from the internet. Infosys recommends scanning of files before being uploaded to the eBiz website and taking utmost precaution to avoid spread of malicious content.

Infosys is not liable for any loss or damage to the user computer system or data caused by access/use of eBiz website.

8. Data Privacy

Information you provide to us may be passed to relevant service providers, including government departments, agencies or authorities, for example in order to respond to your request or process your application. For further information please read our Privacy Policy.

9. General Information

Infosys, our vendors and employees are not responsible for any loss or damage arising out of the use of eBiz site Infosys shall not be held responsible for any failure due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

In case Infosys waives any of the terms and conditions on specific occasions under express written permission, it does not imply that the same will be automatically waived on further similar occasions.

If any part of these terms and conditions are not implementable or not as per the law of the land, the remaining terms and conditions will continue to be binding.

eBiz website and its use are governed by the laws of India. The jurisdiction of eBiz shall be exclusively with the Bangalore High Court over any disputes connected to or arising out of the use of eBiz.

This policy is meant to provide the appropriate linking practices with respect to the eBiz website.

We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site and no prior permission is required for the same.

However, we would like you to inform us about any links provided to this Portal so that you can be informed of any changes or updates therein.

Also, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. Our website's pages must load into a newly opened browser window of the user.
