eBiz is a secure site. The information that you send to and receive from eBiz is through a 128-bit Secure Socket Layer connection (SSL). SSL creates a secure connection from your browser window to eBiz server.
1.2 Digital Certificates
In case of certain transactions, the government departments have mandated use of digital certificates. A digital certificate is encrypted software that confirms your identity and establishes your authority (or 'credentials') to perform a particular task and is used for authentication and non-repudiation. Digital certificates help in ensuring the desired security levels for important transactions.
1.3 User Id and Passwords
In case of transactions where the government departments do not require a digital certificate, your username and password identification is used for authentication.
1.4 Email and Mobile number verification
eBiz verifies the email ID and mobile number provided by user during registration. A verification code is sent to this email id and mobile number. This has to be provided by user on ebiz before user is logged in successfully. Similar verification is done on change of email id or mobile number.

2.1 Personal Information
eBiz stores your personal information securely and does not pass it on to any government department or third party without your permission. Your email address and mobile number may also be used by eBiz to communicate with you and to forward messages to you from government departments. If you are a registered user, we may use your details to offer specific services, to provide notifications regarding changes to our services, to collect feedback to improve our services.
2.2 Business Related Information
As an eBiz registered business entity, the information provided by you is stored securely and may be used in pre-filling data for certain G2B forms. This information is submitted to respective government departments when you submit the form. eBiz may use certain profiling information to offer specific services, to provide notifications regarding changes to our services, to collect feedback to improve our services.
In certain cases, facts provided by you such as PAN, TAN, Tax Registration Numbers etc. may be compared by eBiz with a reference database provided by government departments. If the information matches with the reference database then eBiz may use information provided by the government department. For e.g. In case you provide your PAN number, eBiz may verify the address in the PAN database of Income Tax Department with the address provided by you while registering on eBiz.
In addition to the information that you provide to eBiz, eBiz receives and stores a range of website usage information whenever you use eBiz website. This information is used for the following –
Web usage information is collected by our web server and from other sources including search engines, internet service providers, page tagging techniques, and cookies. We use IP addresses to analyse trends, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
eBiz may collect information regarding your browsing activity on eBiz website only. eBiz may create a demographic profile for a registered user based on the browsing pattern to identify the services and resources of eBiz used by you. eBiz may monitor and report statistical data about the usage of eBiz website to Government of India. eBiz may use or share statistical data to Government Departments and/or third parties for marketing and strategic enhancements, maintaining individual privacy by not identifying personal information in such statistical data.
eBiz does not pass any personal information to third party websites to which links are provided on eBiz website. These external websites are governed by their respective privacy policies and it is encouraged to read the privacy policies of these websites before using them.
A cookie is data stored in the memory of your computer when you connect to eBiz. In simple terms, we generate and temporarily store a session id which is used to keep track of your identity from page to page. This cookie is destroyed when you log out from eBiz or close your browser window. Cookies are not used for tracking usage of the website.
Log files are used to track transactions for auditing purposes. The log files are based on your username and do not contain any personally identifiable information, and are stored securely
You can update your registration information at any time. To do this, log in to eBiz and click on ‘My Profile’ under ‘My Account’ tab. You will then be able to see the information we currently have stored on you, and make changes if you wish.
